Brandon Graham Likes Tim Tebow’s Chances to Make Philadelphia Eagles Roster

Former Michigan Wolverines defensive end Brandon Graham joined Drew Lane and Marc Fellhauer on Detroit Sports 105.1 on Friday afternoon, touching on a number of football topics (listen here).

Graham said he remains close to the Rich Rodriguez staff he had at Michigan but he is hopeful for better days and optimistic Jim Harbaugh will help give the ability to fire back at Ohio State teammates in the locker room.

As a Philadelphia Eagle, the topic of Tim Tebow coming up had to be expected. And yes, Graham makes sure to remind Tebow of Michigan’s triumph over him in the Capital One Bowl.

What wasn’t necessarily expected was how far Graham went in support of Tebow. He could have given a boilerplate answer about Tebow working hard and we’ll see what happens but Graham went so far as to say that he doesn’t see why Tebow shouldn’t make the team:

"I think he has a great shot because he’s been doing good. He had a great camp. He’s done everything the coaches have asked of him, from I’ve seen. As long as he does well in preseason, I don’t see why he shouldn’t be on the team. He’s a good teammate, hopefully he can help us win this year."

That’s a lot more than saying “good guy, tries hard, we’ll see what happens.”

In addition to talking football, Graham was on to promote a couple great events he has going on in the Detroit area. He is going to be one very busy man on July 11 as he hosts two separate events. The first is his ‘Select 100’ camp – a camp giving 100 boys and 100 girls from Detroit the chance to participate in a camp experience.

That evening, Graham and his wife will host a bowling fundraiser at Star Lanes in Royal Oak. The event gives people the chance to rub shoulders with some celebrities, including Draymond Green and some former Wolverines and current Eagles, while raising money for some great causes.
