Gary Grant went from the Seattle SuperSonics to the Los Angeles Clippers on a draft day trade and went on to play seven seasons for the Clippers. One of the greatest assist men in Michigan basketball history, Grant was an effective distributor of the basketball at the NBA level, averaging ten assists per game in his second NBA season.

Grant finished his NBA career with averages of 7.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 5.5 and 1.5 steals per game in 553 games.
