Detroit Tigers cap for July 4, 2015

This is the 2015 cap that the Tigers will wear today. We’ll have to see how it plays on television, but, at its core, this is a blue hat with a white Olde English D which makes it a relatively standard cap. I have tended to like the caps that find a way to fit the stars and stripes motif within a standard look.

I’m afraid the American flag background will cause this design to age poorly — causing us to look back on it with regret — but for now I’ll give it positive marks. The subtle red outlining gives the cap color without being too obvious about it.
