Fourth/Fifth Tier Fantasy Football Running Backs

Grabbing running backs in the fourth tier is more about hunting for opportunities than locking down can’t-miss starters. All of these guys have flaws and question marks, and most are either second on their teams’ depth charts or will be fighting for playing time.

Hopefully you have secured your two starting running backs by now, but start working your way down this list in rounds 6-9 as you work to fill your bench running back spots.

29. Giovani Bernard

30. Isaiah Crowell

31. Doug Martin

32. C.J. Spiller

33. Chris Ivory

34. Bishop Sankey

35. Shane Vereen

36. Ameer Abdullah

37. Devonta Freeman

If you’re looking for running backs beyond this point, you’re probably just filling out a roster spot. There’s not a ton of value to be had at the position, but here are a couple of names to target in rounds 13-15. As always the more familiar you become with teams’ depth charts and injury situations, the more likely you are to find someone who could possibly provide value.

38. Charles Sims

39. Darren McFadden

40. Danny Woodhead
