Date: October 27, 2015

It doesn’t matter who the opponent is or where the game is played, opening night is a date to circle on the schedule.

The Pistons get a good test right out of the gate as they take on the Hawks in Atlanta. The Hawks were one of the league’s big surprise teams a year ago in posting the best regular season record in the Eastern Conference.

Fans shouldn’t read too much into the results of this one game, good or bad, but there is always a tendency to use early games like this as a measuring stick. That is especially true as the Pistons look to make a return to the playoffs.
