Home vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Date: December 4, 2015
Greg Monroe will first face his former team on November 23 but it is early December when Monroe makes his return to the Palace as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Players who leave via free agency don’t usually get warm welcomes when they return to their former home, but can anyone really blame Monroe? He played hard for the Pistons but wasn’t a great fit for the team after Stan Van Gundy took over as president and head coach. Even still, Monroe made the best of it before finding what he felt was a better fit, for both his game and his bank account.
While the focus will be on Monroe’s return, this is the type of game that will go a long way toward defining whether the Pistons are playoff contenders. After finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference last season, the Bucks are the kind of team the Pistons need to beat at home to jump into playoff contention.
