Get The Necessary  Handcuffs

If you’re a Jamaal Charles owner like me make sure you also have Knile Davis on your roster. Davis could have a regular role on the team, but more importantly, has the talent to produce similar numbers to Charles if Knile starts in his place at any time this year.

Alfred Blue will start for the Texans while Arian Foster is out but he could cement himself a bigger role when Foster is back. Blue is definitely worth taking as a RB2/Flex in Foster’s absence and could still support that value when he recovers.

Joique Bell is worth drafting but he will miss at least 1 week. Ameer Abdullah has looked great in preseason and could very well take that Lions running back job over with Bell gone. That alone makes him a Flex leading into this year with upside.

If you draft Melvin Gordon it’d be smart to target Danny Woodhead in later rounds. Not that Gordon is a big injury risk but Woodhead would definitely be a solid flex if starting for an injured Gordon.

Lamar Miller doesn’t have a troubled injury history but Jay Ayaji would be smart to have if you’re invested in Miller.

Ryan Matthews has obviously held down a starting role in San Diego. If Demarco Murray goes down in 2015, Matthews could be considered a solid Flex option possibly RB2 in deep leagues.
