The first road game of the Big Ten slate (and perhaps the first true road game of the season, depending on how many Michigan State football fans show up to the Western Michigan season opener) could prove to be a challenge if the players aren’t prepared for the change in hostility.
Fortunately for the Spartans, Rutgers isn’t known as (1) a particularly tough place to play or (2) a particularly great football team.
Michigan State thoroughly thrashed the Scarlet Knights by a 45-3 score last season, and this year’s meeting should prove to be closer to that than an upset victory for the home side.
Predicted Record: 6-0
