Week 1: at San Diego Chargers

One of the reasons the Lions’ schedule is regarded as difficult is because of the way the games stack up, particularly with a road-heavy start and finish to the regular season. The Lions face a tough road test in week one with a cross-country trip to take on the Chargers.

That kind of trip is tough on any team, especially when it is against a quality opponent like the Chargers. Facing the possibility of having to start the regular season without DeAndre Levy, Larry Warford and LaAdrian Waddle in a week one road game in San Diego is a tall order.

The Lions won’t get embarrassed like they did during their last trip to San Diego, but I’m not expecting a win.

Prediction: Loss (0-1)
