QUARTERBACK

Derek Carr ($7000) Raiders @ Bears – Gulp, yes I am recommending an Oakland Raider starting QB. Keep scrolling down a bit through the quarterback’s and you will find Derek Carr and his 17 fantasy points per game listed as the 17th priced option this week. Will you take 17 points from a QB that only cost you $7,000 this weekend? No doubt and I think it should even be better. Oakland finally has put some decent talent on the field and Carr has found them to the tune of 300+ yards the past two weeks. Bring on the pathetic Bears pass defense and you have a recipe for a successful play at a good value. Da Bears are currently ranked 24th against QB’s and 27th against WR’s through three weeks. Carr is playing with a ton of confidence and should shred this defense. Pair him with Amari Cooper and watch the numbers pile up.

Tyrod Taylor ($7600) Giants @ Bills – What more does Taylor need to do to get his salary bumped up to match his current production level? Is Fanduel basically daring us to continue to play this guy until he comes back down to earth? Maybe Taylor is actually just a good player and we might as well take advantage while we still can. He gets the New York Football Giants this weekend on his home turf in what is a less than imposing matchup for him. The Giants are currently in the bottom 10 against the pass as well as the for fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Taylor is coming off back to back 25+ point outings and I think we will see him right around that number again Sunday.

Cam Newton ($8300) Panthers @ Buccaneers – Newton started out the season with a poor effort against the Jaguars which many predicted would be the case after losing his top WR in Kelvin Benjamin preseason. However, he has rebounded with two near 30 point efforts the past two weeks and is proving that he can produce just fine on his own. Newton has always been a DFS tease due to his ability to find the end zone on the ground and he has shown that with rushing touchdown’s in back to back games. The Tampa Bay defense has rated out higher than expected early in the season but I am not buying it. Newton has found success through the air and should continue that trend Sunday as there is some question marks at RB for the Panthers. Look for another 250 yards through the air with another rushing touchdown.

Others I Like – Kirk Cousins ($6100), Russell Wilson ($8200), Jameis Winston ($6400)
