3. How has Todd Bowles moving on to become the New York Jets head coach impacted the Cardinals defense?
"Honestly, I don’t recognize much difference. If anything, they may have gotten quicker and even more aggressive and I always thought of Bowles as an aggressive coach. They gave up 24 to the Rams which was concerning but a couple of turnovers and field position had a lot to do with that."
4. We talked about David Johnson, but who is someone Lions fans may not be all that familiar with that they should know before Sunday’s game?
"A couple of guys the Lions may get to know a little better both play on defense. Rookie linebacker Markus Golden out of Missouri and rookie defensive end Rodney Gunter out of Deleware State. They both had stellar preseasons and both have had their moments so far early on."
5. What is your prediction for the game, including a final score?
"I thought the Cardinals would handily beat the Rams, so its a tough question. On paper common sense says the Cardinals will win. I’ve watched a couple of Detroit’s games now. The defense is impressive the offense not so much but they still have weapons that can beat you in a heartbeat. I do say the Lions are due for a victory. They may be 0-4 but they aren’t an 0-4 team in my mind. So I say a close one but a wake up call for the Cardinals after last Sunday. I was impressed with the Lions defense and then the offense almost beating the Seahawks on Monday night (and for the record I think the Lions got screwed). The Cards though won’t be able to just show up and beat anyone. I’ll give the Cards the slight edge in this one. Cardinals 27 Lions 23"
