RUNNING BACK

Todd Gurley ($7400) Rams vs. Browns – Gurley has really started to turn into the dynamic running back that the Rams were hoping to get when they drafted him. If you throw out his opening day 6 carry game, he is averaging 153 yards per start in his last two games and has been given 49 carries. The Browns have been unable to stop the run this season and I don’t see that changing now. Play Gurley now as his price is still down a bit from the other top RB’s in the game. He is the #1 player on my board OVERALL this weekend and is still only priced at $7400. Play him, end of story.

Latavius Murray ($7000) Raiders @ Chargers – I will continue to pick on the Chargers run defense until they prove me wrong. Even though Eddie Lacy wasn’t able to take advantage of their weak run defense, James Starks rattle off an easy 100 yard day and proved that SD still has problems up front. Murray struggled in his previous two starts before their bye week, which will keep his ownership levels way down this weekend. Along with the struggles came a drop in price. At $7000, you can do a whole lot worse than to take a RB that is receiving all of the carries and can catch passes against a bottom five rushing defense.

DeMarco Murray ($7600) Eagles @ Panthers – There was some talk this preseason that DeMarco Murray was not a good running back and much of his success was due to the Dallas Cowboys massive offensive line. He didn’t do much to help his case struggling through the first three games and not receiving as many carries as he is accustom to. The past two games however he has received 20+ carries in both and has also caught 10 passes. The Panthers match up on paper looks to be a bad one and will most likely turn most away. However, the Panthers have allowed some decent games to running backs and are in the bottom 10 in points allowed to the running back position. I like Murray to continue his streak of solid games and also to be highly under-owned in contests this weekend.

Others I Like – Mark Ingram ($7600), Adrian Peterson ($8900), Lamar Miller ($6700)
