As we creep closer to the 2015-2016 NBA season, here are five predictions for the Detroit Pistons and their quest to return to the playoffs.

With the 2015-2016 NBA season so close, the Detroit Pistons will aim to make the playoffs for the first time in six years. It’s been a while since this team was anywhere close to the postseason.

While there were some flashes of potential last year, injuries and fit from the team lead to them slipping out of contention late. But with new names and growing talent, this might be the Pistons’ year to snap the playoff-less streak.

Before that though, they must power through the regular season and prove that they belong among the top eight teams in the Eastern Conference.

The long, 82-game season is quickly upon us and that should excite Pistons fans everywhere. There are plenty of positives to look at for in this team with its youth and athleticism.

They’ll look to grow together as a team since no team in the Association will simply hand them games. They must earn each win as they look to be respectable.
