The Wolverines are looking at several other 5- and 4-star candidates. It would take just a few more prospects to commit, and Michigan would be close to having a Top-5 recruiting class.

Considered one of the top offensive guards on the East Coast, the 6-4, 305 lb. Davis still has several visits remaining. He will attend ‘The Game’ in Ann Arbor Nov. 28, visit Georgia Dec. 11 and UCLA Dec. 15. Last will be Alabama Jan. 22.

“With Michigan, I talk to (offensive line) coach (Tim) Drevno at least one a week,” Davis said. “They are still my No. 1 school. Georgia, (offensive line) coach (Rob) Sale, I am going to call him (Monday night). They stay in contact with me. At least three coaches on twitter, they make sure they ask me how my day is going, or ask me to give them a call.”

Davis is also considering Maryland but the recent firing of head coach Randy Edsall may cloud things just a bit.
