Stephen Tulloch was off to a good start last season before tearing his ACL. Whether related to the injury or not, he got off to a poor start this season and while he has played better of late, he has still struggled in coverage and has seen his snap count decrease.
The production might be enough to warrant moving on but that decision is made easier considering Tulloch is due to count $7.3 million against the cap next season in would be the final year of the five-year, $25.5 million contract he signed in 2012.
Cutting Tulloch would leave $1.3 million in dead money on the 2016 salary cap but that frees $6 million in cap space that can be used more effectively.
