Pick 5 (1991). Steve Smith. 5. player. 110. . Round 1

Steve Smith finished his NBA career with a career scoring average of 14.3 points per game, but that doesn’t do his career justice. That average was hurt with Smith taking on smaller roles late in his career after he was routinely approaching 20 points per game through the prime of his career.

Best known for his years in Atlanta, Smith was the number one option for some pretty decent Hawks teams. Still, he was named to just one All-Star team.

Smith’s successful NBA career not only benefited himself but also his alma mater as Smith has been a generous donor back to Michigan State. Smith’s donations back to the school have topped $3 million.
