Last week I attended my sisters wedding in Mexico and pretty much checked out from following the NFL for a majority of the week. My column last weekend was pieced together at a couple of different airports on the way home. I certainly was nervous about putting out quality picks that people could actually use considering the lack of attention paid throughout the week.

I have mentioned this a few times and will again that at this point in the season you need to just trust the numbers. I didn’t do hardly any research last week before writing my column and with a couple exceptions had a really solid week of picks. Teams have given us plenty of statistics to back up what they can and can’t do and that is what wins in daily fantasy.

If you took any one of the 5 wide receivers I recommended you probably think I am a genius (I am not). All five of them had excellent match ups and all 5 of them either scored or easily surpassed 100 yards. All five of the quarterbacks I had listed also had solid days led by Derek Carr. Running back was a mixed bag as Ronnie Hillman destroyed a few promising lineups I had going. DeMarco Murray put up a solid game and was hardly owned in any of my tournaments. DeVonta Freeman was somehow shut down running the ball but more than made up with it scoring through the air. All in all, a solid group of players that would have given you a chance to make some money.

If you have any suggestions or comments for me on these articles, please leave them. I would love to hear some feedback on how you are using these articles and also if there are some different things you might want to see. With that said, lets take a look at this slate.
