RUNNING BACK
Charcandrick West ($7100) Chiefs @ Chargers – Just as I mentioned in my opening paragraph, because a guy is being hyped as a great play doesn’t mean that you have to avoid him this week. West is coming off back to back 20+ games and now gets to face a team that has allowed the most points to running backs this season. He is starting to be used more out of the backfield catching passes and has also received at least 20 carries in three straight games. The Chargers have struggled against the run from day one this season and West should be able to continue his streak of scoring at least 20 fantasy points this week. Oh yeah, he is priced down below 10 other running backs this week providing a solid value at his price point.
Darren McFadden ($6800) Cowboys @ Dolphins – McFadden gets the nod here again this week despite letting all of us down last week. The match up this time is even better than last week and the Cowboys will finally be getting Tony Romo back. It seemed like teams showed no respect for Matt Cassel and just focused their efforts on slowing down the Cowboy ground attack. With Romo under center and some actual threat through the air, McFadden should find a whole lot more room to run in this game. The Dolphins defense has been in shambles for most of this season and are allowing the 2nd most points the running back position. Don’t let me down in back to back weeks Mr. McFadden.
Chris Ivory ($7200) Jets @ Texans – Ivory has been used a true workhorse back this year for the Jets, receiving an average of 20 carries per game. The Texans have been bad against the run all season and continue to show improvement against the pass. This game feels like its setting up for a 25 carry day for Ivory which should provide him plenty of opportunity to pay off his $7200 salary. Ivory has quietly started to produce as a receiver the past five games as well after not being utilized at all the first 4 weeks. Give me 20 carries and a few catches, I think Ivory can be a solid low owned option for tournaments this weekend.
Others I Like – DeMarco Murray ($7600), Jeremy Langford ($6700), Latavius Murray ($6800)
