Western Michigan Bowl Projection

Western Michigan already has their destination and matchup set. It was announced on Tuesday morning that the Broncos will head to the Caribbean to take part in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. It’s the only bowl game that will be played outside of the United States this season.

Western Michigan’s opponent will be Middle Tennessee of Conference USA. The Blue Raiders finished the regular season with a 7-5 overall record (6-2 in conference play). The Bahamas Bowl will be played at Noon (ET) on Christmas Eve and will air on ESPN.

Western Michigan played in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl last season, losing to Air Force by a final score of 38-24. Idaho and Bahamas are about as dissimilar destinations as one could imagine.
