It’s going to be hard for me to start out my column this week without quickly mentioning what happened to our beloved Detroit Lions this past Thursday night. That game was the epitome of what it has been like to be a Lions fan over the course of my lifetime.

After three straight wins and opening up Thursday night with a 20-0 lead, it looked like Detroit might have finally figured things out. Just as quickly as my optimism started to rise, Detroit literally ripped out the heart of all of their fans by the way they lost that game.

That above paragraph has literally nothing to do with daily fantasy football (unless you started the Rodgers Brothers), but I felt like I needed to rehash that awful memory one more time for some reason. The NFL regular season is starting to come to a close but daily fantasy continues to have a fresh start each and every week.

Week 13 is another chance to put those tournament winning teams together and finish out the remainder of these regular season weeks by building that bankroll. Let’s take a look at what match ups stood out for me this week and which players to target.
