Every year brings change to rosters across the NFL. The Detroit Lions will be no exception – particularly with a new general manager taking over with the mid-season firing of Martin Mayhew.
Speculation about the future of Matthew Stafford started as soon as news of Mayhew’s firing broke. But Stafford has played well since the Lions returned from their game in London against the Kansas City Chiefs. Popular wisdom says the Lions would be better off holding on to Stafford but while there may not be changes coming at the most high profile position, a good portion of the roster could turn over before the 2016 season begins.
Even without knowing who the next general manager will be, contract and performance considerations make it easy to identify players who may be playing their final games as members of the Detroit Lions. So here are ten current Lions who may not be back next season.
