Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Zac Snyder
The Detroit Pistons play a quick road game against the New York Knicks before returning home to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on New Year’s Eve.
After loses to fellow playoff contenders in their last two games, the Detroit Pistons now find themselves on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Their 17-14 record looks good by recent Eastern Conference standards but the resurgence of the East has been one of the big stories so far this season.
Even sitting in the conference’s tenth spot, the Pistons find themselves just four games back of the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. And with wins over several of the top teams in the East, the Pistons have shown they can contend.
Whether or not the ultimately grab a playoff spot will be dependent on them bringing more consistency to the floor. That is especially true when facing inferior competition. While the Pistons can claim wins over some of the East’s best, they also have some big warts, like losses to the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks.
The Pistons look to avoid adding another wart to their resume when they take on the New York Knicks tonight.
For the 14-18 Knicks, wins and losses have come in bunches so far this season. Since starting with a win, loss and win, the Knicks have had wins and losses come in at least pairs. Their current four-game losing streak comes following a four-game winning streak, which was preceded by a four-game losing streak.
The current losing streak is already the Knicks’ fourth losing streak of at least three games so far this season. The Pistons look to extend that to a five-game streak, a low the Knicks have avoided so far.
