Detroit Pistons vs. San Antonio Spurs: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Zac Snyder
The Detroit Pistons are set to host the San Antonio Spurs, whose stellar season is being overshadowed by the Golden State Warriors.
If it is possible to quietly go 33-6, the San Antonio Spurs have done it. If not for the Golden State Warriors’ 36-2 start, the Spurs would be receiving the adulation currently heading the Warriors’ way.
The Detroit Pistons have themselves positioned for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but defending home court against the Spurs would serve notice that this team is capable of making some noise when they get there.
Winners of three in a row and four of their last five, tonight’s game with the Spurs is just the start of a tough stretch of games on the schedule. They follow up with games at Memphis and home for Golden State and Chicago. The names on the schedule lighten up after that but come in the form of a four-game road trip.
That makes for a two week, eight game stretch that could see the Pistons’ playoff chances swing dramatically one way or the other. No one is pulling away in the East but a glut of teams grouped closely together means there isn’t much wiggle room for dealing with an extended downswing.
Tonight’s performance could set the tone for this important stretch of games. Can the Pistons hand the Spurs their first loss since Christmas Day?
