Detroit Pistons at Toronto Raptors: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Zac Snyder
A day after losing to the Eastern Conference leading Cleveland Cavaliers, the Detroit Pistons take on the second place Toronto Raptors on the road tonight.
The Detroit Pistons came up small in a big matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night but there is no time to dwell on that with another big matchup tonight.
The Cavaliers may be the Eastern Conference’s best team according to the standings, but tonight’s opponent, the Toronto Raptors, are the conference’s hottest. Winners of ten in a row, the Raptors haven’t lost since losing to the Cavs nearly four weeks ago.
If not for the Raptors and their 31-15 record, the Cavaliers would be running away with the East. Instead, the solid and now surging Raptors are just 2.5 games back of the top seed.
The Pistons bring All-Star Andre Drummond to the matchup but the Raptors can counter with an All-Star pair in Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. The pair has the Raptors playing great on both ends of the floor with eight-straight games above 100 points while holding their last four opponents under 95 points.
Back-to-backs are nothing new for the Pistons, who face a league-high 20 on their schedule. But with the Cavs last night and the Raptors tonight, this is the most difficult. Playing the second game of back-to-backs has been problematic against competition lesser than the Raptors, so hopefully the Pistons can tap the energy they’ve brough into other games against some of the league’s top teams.
