The Detroit Pistons return from the NBA All-Star break after more than a week off with a road game at the Washington Wizards.

The NBA All-Star break came at a good time for the Detroit Pistons. A three-game losing streak and a record of just 6-11 over the last month dropped the Pistons to a .500 record and out of playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

With more than a week of rest for everyone, except for All-Star Game participant Andre Drummond, the Pistons hopefully come back refreshed and looking more like the team that burst out of the gate to start the season than they lackluster bunch that closed out the pre-All-Star schedule. Regardless of energy level, the Pistons will have a different look thanks to the deals that shook up the roster ahead of the NBA trade deadline this week.

Tobias Harris is in while Ersan Ilyasova and Brandon Jennings have been shipped to the Orlando Magic. Harris will be eased in to the rotation, coming off the bench before being inserted into the starting lineup.

Trading away Jennings leaves the Pistons bench thin but that concern was relieved with a second trade that netted Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton from the Houston Rockets in exhange for Joel Anthony and a first round draft pick. Those additions should prove fruitful in time but neither player will be with the Pistons tonight. They will join the team when the Pistons return home and should make their team debuts against the New Orleans Pelican on Sunday.
