The Detroit Tigers open exhibition play today with their annual spring game with Florida Southern College.
Manager Brad Ausmus has set his starting lineup for the game which includes most of the regulars. At first glance it looks like an indication of his projected lineup (and batting order) when the team faces a right handed starting pitcher.
According to Chris Iott of MLive, these starters are expected to get one plate appearance before being lifted for some of the reserves.
Here’s the lineup for Monday:

"1. Ian Kinsler, 2B2. Justin Upton, LF3. Miguel Cabrera, 1B4. Victor Martinez, DH5. J.D. Martinez, RF6. Nick Castellanos, 3B7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C8. Jose Iglesias, SS9. Anthony Gose, CF"
The only regular missing from this list is James McCann, but it would be reasonable to assume that (switch hitter) Jarrod Saltalamacchia could split time with McCann against righties (with McCann handling the bulk of the duties against lefties).
As far as pitchers go, prospect Kevin Ziomek will make the start before giving way to a string of minor leaguers. Jason Beck has the list.
The team has also announced the pitching rotation for Tuesday’s Grapefruit League opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
