Michigan State Basketball at Rutgers: Game Time, TV Schedule, Live Stream
By Matt Snyder
The Michigan State Spartans take on Rutgers on Wednesday night. Here’s how you can watch the game on TV or via online live stream.
The Michigan State Spartans play their penultimate game of the season tonight when they travel to New Jersey to do battle with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Michigan State’s previous matchup with Rutgers was a breezy 96-62 victory back in January.
The Spartans will finish their regular season on Saturday when they host the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Michigan State is currently tied with Maryland and Wisconsin for the second best record in the conference at 11-5. They won’t be able to catch Indiana at the top (14-3) to win the regular season conference title, but they look to be positioned well to grab the number two seed in the Big Ten Tournament.
A win over Rutgers tonight won’t do much (by itself) for Michigan State’s NCAA Tournament seeding, though a loss would be damaging. They’ll need just about every victory they can get down the stretch and in Big Ten Tournament if they hope to snatch a number one seed for the big dance.

Joe Lunardi’s most recent bracketology update has Michigan State as the number two seed in the Midwest Region. That scenario would set up a potential rematch with number one seed Kansas in a regional final played at the United Center in Chicago. Michigan State beat Kansas 79-73 in that very arena in the second game of the season.
