Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Zac Snyder
The Detroit Pistons can wrap up a playoff berth in front of their home fans tonight with a win over the Washington Wizards.
Today has all the makings of a festive day in the Detroit sports scene. The Detroit Tigers did their part with a 4-0 win over the New York Yankees in their home opener and now it is the Detroit Pistons’ turn to add to the party.
With a win over the Washington Wizards at The Palace tonight, the Detroit Pistons can clinch a playoff berth.
It is somewhat fitting that the opportunity comes against the Wizards. The only way the Pistons miss out on the playoffs at this point is if they lose all their remaining three games while the Wizards win all their remaining four. That would set up a tie-breaker situation with the advantage going to the Wizards, who have dominated the season series against the Pistons so far.
The Wizards left The Palace with a two-point win back in November but cruised to easy wins in the two meetings in Washington, the latest being an embarrassing 43-point drubbing.
Despite the pain the Wizards have caused the Pistons this season, the Pistons can have the last laugh just by winning tonight to extend their season and effectively end the Wizards’. It’s a big opportunity for the Pistons, especially with John Wall unlikely to play for the Wizards tonight.
