John Jaso has done an excellent job stepping in at the lead off spot and jumpstarting this offense. The outfield of McCutchen, Marte, and Polanco is one of the best trio’s in baseball both in the field and behind the plate. Solid team top to bottom that will give the Tigers trouble this week.. 4-2. The formula that led to a Championship last season is working to perfection early this season as well. The Royals starters have been good enough to get them to the late innings when their stellar bullpen takes over. Timely hitting and base running goes along way as well. They sit at 5-1 through the first week winning all five games on the road and leaving little doubt that they are a contender this season.
