If Jonathan Jones was a few inches taller, he would be a high draft pick. Unfortunately, he is an undersized cornerback at 5’10” and 180 lbs..

Even so, Jones is a burner, running a blazing 4.33 forty yard dash at the NFL combine. He was also a play-maker at Auburn, gathering 7 interceptions and 24 pass deflections in his final two seasons combined.

The Lions have a good, young group of cornerbacks in Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, and Quandre Diggs. But in today’s pass-happy NFL you can never have enough skilled cornerbacks, and Jonathan Jones is perfect match for Detroit.
