Happy Draft Week! That magical time of year is finally upon us. Three glorious days filled with nothing but hope springing eternal. We’ve already had a crazy draft season with both of the top two picks switching hands and rumors of potentially more to come. The main takeaway is that the premium NFL teams place on having a young signal caller has never been higher.

While Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are quality prospects with immense potential, neither would have been more than the third Quarterback off the board in last year’s draft behind Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. Yet, here we are, with both seemingly locked in to the top two spots. The more interesting storyline is which quarterback will be the third of the board? At this point it could be a variety of players – Connor Cook, Paxton Lynch and, recently, Kevin Hogan have generated some late first round buzz.

Could a team like Cleveland reach at 8? Will an unlikely name like Christian Hackenberg be called late on Day One? Or will it be Goff and Wentz alone at the top of the draft? Who knows! And isn’t that why we watch?

Let’s take a look at how we think things (probably won’t) shake out in this final NFL Mock Draft.
