Javon Hargrave is one of the most interesting player in this draft. Some people think he’s a first round talent, other think he shouldn’t come off the board until day three. I think he had top 50 skill set and would be a nice value pick here at 46.

Hargrave has great measurements. At 6’1 3/8″, 309 he runs at a high-end speed: 4.93/40, 1.7/10-yard split. For a guy his size he is running 0.23 seconds faster than average. This is a top five time for defensive tackles in this class.

He’s not just fast though, his explosion score (bench press+vertical jump+broad jump) grades out 2nd in this defensive tackle class with a score of 72.58 (only 19 of the 332 players at the combine broke 70). His explosion translates to the field and you can see it on film and from this clips at Senior Bowl practices.

Javon Hargrave has as much talent and potential as any defensive tackle in this class. With 13.5 sacks in 2015, Hargrave has a Sheldon Richardson type ceiling. For a more detailed breakdown of him, check out Justis Mosqueda’s evaluation at Bleacher Report, here.
