Detroit Lions Draft 2016: Seven-Round Mock Draft
By Erik Schlitt
Graham Glasgow’s stock has been on the rise ever since Jim Harbaugh declared him a 1st round talent at the center position. While Harbaugh looks to have been exaggerating, his opinion still carries weight in the NFL. People began to take notice of Glasgow at the Senior Bowl, I wrote about it here.
Glasgow continued to draw attention with a solid performance at the combine, registering above average times in both the 10-yard split (1.76) and the all important Short Shuttle (4.63).
At 6’6″ and 307 pounds, Glasgow has the solid NFL size and with experience at both center and guard, Glasgow will be appealing to teams in the market for a player who can back up all the interior offensive line positions as well as challenge for a starting position.
While Detroit seems set at guard, center Travis Swanson is coming off down year and an injured shoulder. Glasgow would be a quality complimentary add to the entire unit as well as someone who could push to be a starter if Swanson on field performance doesn’t improve.
