Willie Beavers is a huge tackle prospect. It remains to be seen if NFL executives see him more as a potential left tackle or right tackle. How they view him in that regard may effect his draft position. If Beavers makes it to the fourth round, and the Lions haven’t already addressed the offensive tackle positions, they should run to the podium to pick Beavers.

Beavers has tremendous raw abilities. He moves like a much smaller man, while still packing a punch with his powerful build. He does a good job of engaging, and remaining engaged as a blocker. He also has the natural quickness and agility to play well in space, and blocking at the second-level.

Beavers is a bit of a leaner, overeager to engage with his hands, at the detriment to his footwork. But most of his weaknesses can be fixed or improved with coaching and time.
