A Detroit Lions Offensive Line Prospect For Every Round of the NFL Draft

While Jack Conklin will be the first Michigan State lineman off the draft-board this year, the “other” Jack – Jack Allen – is a draftable prospect. If the Lions don’t pick a center early in the draft, Allen offers value for them in the late-middle rounds.
Allen is a terrific competitor with quick and powerful hands. He plays with good leverage, and while he isn’t an elite athlete at the position, he is a natural leader and communicator – a must for his position. Allen would push Travis Swanson to improve, or lose his starting job.
