MLB Power rankings takes a look at all 30 teams after the fourth week of action. Rankings will be posted at the beginning of the week throughout the season.

After a month of games we have a pretty clear cut divide between the teams that have realistic chances and those that don’t. It’s no surprise that the Nationals, Cubs, and the Mets are off to strong starts. Its also not that surprising that the Braves are really bad.

Of course there are always a few exceptions, one of them being the sneaky Phillies. After a remarkable 5 year run from 2007-2011, the Phillies came crashing back to earth as their aging core of stars started to fade. Their rebuilding efforts seem to finally be showing some results as they currently sit at 15-11 through the first month.

Our Tigers rebounded in a big way after a really disappointing week prior. Brad Ausmus, who has been an easy target for the media and fan base, made a small change in the lineup that seems to have paid huge dividends so far. With their bats rolling like they have been, they have even been able to win games that Mike Pelfrey has started.

This week brings us a three game set at Cleveland, a team that they were just swept by less than a week ago. Hopefully this new look lineup and motivated team will continue their hot play and get some revenge. The Tigers need to continue to play well as the White Sox look like a real threat to take home the AL Central this season.

This week’s rankings have the Braves solidly locked into that 30th spot while the Cubs continue to sit on top. The Tigers picked up 4 spots this week while the Phillies and Mariners are the biggest movers. Check them out.
