MLB Power Rankings: 6-10

9. player. 62. The Mariners started out June dropping 5 of their 7 games despite putting up some impressive home run numbers. Seattle hit 45 home runs in the month of June, just 1 back of league-leading Boston. Since their pitching staff is lacking any true ace (sorry King Felix) they will need to continue to swing the bat well in order to keep pace with the division leading Rangers.. 32-26. Last Week: 10. Seattle Mariners

8. player. 3. For a team as talented as this Mets team is, their bats really haven’t been making any noise. The month of May saw thim hit a league worst .211, behind both the Padres and Braves. Fortunately their pitching staff is likely the best in baseball and has kept them only 3.5 games behind the division leading Nationals.. 31-26. Last Week: 7. New York Mets

7. player. 95. Texas sits on top of the AL West with an impressive 23-9 record on their home field this season. As many expected, the return of Yu Darvish has been a big boost to an already loaded roster. Coming off a sweep of a solid Mariners squad, the Rangers need to take two more to sweep the Astros and further seperate themselves from their division.. 36-22. Last Week: 8. Texas Rangers

player. 4. The Pirates went through a mini slump against two sub-par opponents before taking 2 games against the Mets Tuesday. This is a team that has been going about their business quietly as they focus on a wild card spot since they have very little hope of catching the division leading Cubs. The Pirates have been a top 10 offense in virtually every category all season long.. 32-26. Last Week: 6. Pittsburgh Pirates . 6
