The 1990s were a successful decade for the Detroit Red Wings as it was, but what if we could make one team of the best players from that decade? Here it is.

The 1990s were the start of a very successful run for the Detroit Red Wings.  They won their first Stanley Cups since 1955 and after the Dead Wings era, the 90s brought the Red Wings back to life.

This city loves their Red Wings but it was even more noticeable back then. Almost every car had a Red Wings flag hanging from their window.

I wrote about my all decade team for 2000 which can be found here. This article will be about my 1990’s all decade team.

As in the 2000 team, this team will consist of a first line, second line, third line, fourth line, three defensive pairings, two goalies, a coach and a honorable mention section.

Someone who won’t be on this team is Chris Chelios. He really only played one season in this decade thats why I think he’s more on the 2000 decade team than the 1990 decade team.

Without any further ado here is my 1990’s all decade team. Once again feel free to comment and tweet us your decade team if you feel differently about the selections.
