MLB Power Rankings: 16-20

19. player. 108. Despite being a top 5 team in all of baseball in home runs, the Rockies can’t find a way to get away from that .500 record. Playing at Coors field certainly elevates the numbers but this is a good hitting ballclub. Since they really have never had any true ace pitchers on their staff, that will continue to hold them back.. 37-39. Last Week: 21. Colorado Rockies

Miami Marlins . 18. player. 82. The Marlins have actually been quite good the past few weeks beating the Cubs in a series while also beating the Rockies and Padres. Jose Fernandez has moved up his record up to 10-3 and has staked his claim as one of the best pitchers in baseball, especially at generating swings and misses.. 41-35. Last Week: 18

63. You can look at the Tigers record in one of two ways. They are either 0-9 against the Cleveland Indians, or 38-29 against the rest of the league. You would certainly take a record that is 9 games over .500 but Cleveland has just completely dominated this Tigers squad. After sweeping a good Mariners squad the Tigers did what they do by getting swept yet again by Cleveland. Their schedule does lighten up this week with the Marlins and Rays up next.. 38-38. Last Week: 15. Detroit TIgers . 17. player

16. player. 43. The Yankees continue to hover around .500 but have been helped of late by having 7 games against the Twins giving them 5 wins. They gave away a game against the Rangers last night and will have a tough battle with them as they have to face them three more times this week. Mark Teixiera who has been absolutely terrible all season finally returned again from injury and now has back to back games with home runs. Maybe there is a little life left in some of these old bodies.. 37-38. Last Week: 16. New York Yankees
