MLB Power Rankings: 1-5

45-30. Last Week: 6. Baltimore Orioles . 5. player. 11. While the Red Sox mighty offense has slowed down a bit of late, the Orioles continue to hit home run after home run. 51 of their league leading 120 home runs have come in the month of June lead by <a href=

Last Week: 2. Washington Nationals . 4. player. 90. After a big series win against the Cubs, the Nationals haven’t carried any of that momentum forward losing series to both the Dodgers and the Brewers. Their pitching continues to be one of their greatest strengths, but their bats have dissapeared at times. <a href=. 45-32

50-27. Last Week: 5. Texas Rangers . 3. player. 95. Texas just picked up their 49th win, putting them in a tie with the Giants for most wins by a team so far this season. Their win against the Red Sox yesterday was their 18th of the month of June, an impressive month all around as they beat up on a number of quality opponents. <a href=

49-26. Last Week: 1. Chicago Cubs . 2. player. 9. Much will be made of the recent play of these Cubs.. After cake-walking through the first 10 weeks or so of this season, they now have lost 6 of their last 7. Their pitching has still been solid but the bats have gone quiet. Its pretty normal over the course of a 162 game season to go through stretches of cold hitting. The Cubs as a team are hitting only .245 throughout the month of June, but concerns for fans of the Cubs is pretty mild at this point. They will right the ship and be just fine.
