Number 4. Andrew Ladd – Left Wing, 30 years old

Andrew Ladd is a player that, for the right price, would be a great plan B for the Red Wings if they can’t get the main guys on my list.

Ladd has scored at least 20 goals every year since 2010, except for the lockout shortened 2012-13 season.

A big complaint Red Wing fans have had with this team is they aren’t big and physical enough. If the Red Wings signed Ladd and another player I have on my list, those complaints most likely will change.

Ladd is a physical forward who will add some grit this team desperately needs. The Red Wings seem to get pushed around during games and with the exception of Justin Abdelkader they really don’t have anyone who can fight back.

Ladd can score, he can be a net front presence for this team, and he can provide leadership when Henrik Zetterberg eventually retires, which I think happens sooner rather then later.
