Jarrod Saltalamacchia

No one’s going to bust down the Tigers’ door to acquire Jarrod Saltalamacchia at a premium, but if you’re going to sell, you might as well sell everything. Salty’s had a solid year at the plate — particularly against right-handed pitching where he’s hit for an .809 OPS — and could help a team who finds themselves in a catching emergency or needs to add offense at the position in a platoon role.

With the Miami Marlins picking up all but the minimum of his $8 million salary, he won’t cost an acquiring club much in terms of dollars but the prospect return would stay fairly light for what would amount to a two-month rental.
