Most Valuable Player – Ian Kinsler

Kinsler has been the catalyst behind the strong first half numbers put up by this team so far. Kinsler has been leading off all season and has been a consistent threat that mixes in speed and power.

He has added 16 home runs this season, putting him on pace for his first 30 home run season since 2011. He also has nine stolen bases and is one of the few Tigers that opposing teams have to worry about swiping a bag. Perhaps most importantly, he currently is 3rd in all of baseball scoring 71 runs. Kinsler is finding a way to get on base and giving the big bats behind him an opportunity to drive him in.

Honorable Mention – Nick Castellanos, Cameron Maybin
