Safety

1. Glover Quin
2. Rafael Bush

There is no doubt that Glover Quin tops the Lions’ safety depth chart but what happens after him is up for grabs. Rafael Bush and Tavon Wilson were signed in free agency and Miles Killebrew was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft to add to holdovers Don Carey and Isaiah Johnson.

Bush and Wilson figure to have a leg up in the competition for the number two safety spot, with little separating the two. Wilson has the Patriots connection and history with general manager Bob Quinn but Bush has a better track record of performance. The problem for Bush is he also has a track record of injury.

Pencil in Bush if he can stay healthy, but don’t be surprised if it is another name in his place by the time week one arrives.
