Left Guard

1. Laken Tomlinson
2. Geoff Schwartz

With Decker at left tackle the Lions look to have their last two first round picks locked in as starters on the left side of their offensive line. Laken Tomlinson wasn’t quite the plug and play starter many hoped when the Lions made him their first round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft but he did start 14 games and got stronger as the year went on.

He’ll now be counted on to be one of the building blocks for a young offensive line but the Lions have experience behind him after signing Geoff Schwartz to a one-year contract in free agency.

2016 draft picks Graham Glasgow and Joe Dahl have college experience at guard and add to the team’s depth but Schwartz looks like the best option to come off the bench to fill in should something happen to Tomlinson.
