The Rookies

The rookie ratings themselves in Madden are fairly nondescript, as they normally are. First-round offensive tackle Taylor Decker leads all of the Lions rookies with a 76 overall rating, second-round pick A’Shawn Robinson was the only other rookie to clear 70, getting a 72.

All of the other rookies the Lions drafted are in the game as well: Graham Glasgow (69), Miles Killebrew (68), Joe Dahl (65), Antwoine Williams (65), Jake Rudock (64), Anthony Zettel (66), Jimmy Landes (46 as a tight end) and Dewayne Washington (65).

What is just as interesting than the ratings themselves is the list of the undrafted free agents Madden opted to include. Pre-camp favorite wide receiver Jay Lee (60) is in the game, while cult favorite Jace Billingsley and the Quinshad Davis hype train remain unrepresented.

Also not included is tight end Cole Wick, who is a favorite to make the 53-man roster, while the relatively quiet Adam Fuehne is not only in the game as a tight end but has a 64 rating, the highest of any Lions UDFA. Rounding out the rookies, offensive tackle Chase Farris garnered a 59 rating and cornerback Ian Wells was given a 63.
