TAHIR WHITEHEAD

On his impressions of Eagles rookie QB Carson Wentz: “Exactly what I anticipated coming into the game. He’s a poised guy, he moves really well, he makes good decisions, he has a good grasp for their offense. He’s a great player and I expect nothing but great games from him.”

On if he looks at this win as an opportunity to turn things around: “Just taking it one game at a time, you know, one game at a time right now. We’re 1-0, we’ll make whatever corrections we need to make after this game and then move onto the next.”

On how they were able to win the turnover battle: “We just took advantage of the opportunities that were presented to us. We stayed strong, we stayed together, made sure that the emphasis was communication and we were all on the same page. When we were able to get those big plays, you know, we went out there and got them.”

On the importance of being able to overcome missed tackles in the second half: “It’s a huge step because it shows resilience. It shows that we’re able to just keep fighting. It just shows that we have that grit, which we know we have. There’s a bunch of men with pride on this team, you know. We love the game, so we’ve just got to keep that. Keep that intensity and just keep battling one game at a time and keep finding a way to give ourselves a chance.”
