First half Justin Upton struggled mightily, and rarely showed what he was truly capable. Second half Justin Upton is a huge reason as to why the Tigers nearly squeezed into the postseason. 19 of his 31 home runs came in the final two months of the season.

This two-run shot against Bauer in Cleveland cleared the wall in center field, and gave the Tigers a 5-2 lead. Upton’s 25th big fly of the season left the bat at 110.7 mph and was a testament to his torrid second half.
