Detroit Red Wings vs. Nashville Predators: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Mike Rizzo
The Detroit Red Wings welcome the Nashville Predators to the Joe Louis Arena tonight. The Red Wings are looking for their third straight win.
The Detroit Red Wings or as I put on my Twitter the “Detroit Howards”, beat the New York Rangers on Wednesday night. The Red Wings beat the Rangers 2-1 but were down 1-0 after the first period and ended up being out-shot 33-18.
Jeff Blashill said “Jimmy stole the game”. Jimmy Howard was phenomenal but that isn’t a surprise since he’s played very well against the Rangers. He is now 4-3-2 but has 1.76 Goals Against Average and .949 Save Percentage against the Rangers.
Thomas Vanek scored six minutes into the second period to tie the game. The Rangers had plenty of opportunity to take the lead but Jimmy Howard stood on his head and bailed out the Red Wings.
Drew Miller scored the winner for the Red Wings just 58 seconds into the third. This was a big game for Howard as he put some pressure on Petr Mrazek.
As I have said several times though, the defense on this team has left a lot to be desired. The defense once again gave up a few odd man rushes. Thankfully for the Red Wings, Howard bailed them out.
With the Red Wings playing back to back games tonight and tomorrow, Howard will start in one of them. As of this writing no starter has been announced yet.
The Nashville Predators come to Detroit riding a two game losing streak. The Red Wings on the other hand have won two straight games. Something has to give.

Will the Red Wings make it three in a row? I think they will but they have to play much better defensively. I don’t think they can go much longer without improving that defense.
