Detroit Red Wings at Montreal Canadiens: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Mike Rizzo
The Detroit Red Wings look to extend their winning streak to three games tonight as the head to Montreal to face the Montreal Canadiens.
The Detroit Red Wings got another solid start from goaltender Jimmy Howard on Thursday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
Thanks to Dylan Larkin and Brendan Smith, the Red Wings led 2-0 after one. Daniel Sedin got the Canucks on the board early in the third and the Canucks outplayed the Red Wings for most of the third.
Howard was once again phenomenal as he saved 36 shots for the Red Wings. Henrik Zetterberg said goaltending saved them again and he lowered his goals against average to 1.22.
In fact Howard will get his fourth start in a row tonight. In my opinion Jimmy Howard is playing the best hockey of his career so far.
The Red Wings would go on to win 3-1 and get a big two points. Unfortunately they lost Andreas Athanasiou to a knee sprain in this game and he’s going to be out one to two weeks.
Some good news from that is that FINALLY hot-shot prospect Anthony Mantha got called up for tonight!!
He’s expected to play for the Red Wings tonight to face the Montreal Canadiens who haven’t lost at home all season. Montreal also has the best record in the NHL so the Red Wings have their work cut out for them tonight.
Carey Price being healthy is a major reason why the Canadiens are dominating the East. He is undefeated this season with a 9-0 record and a 1.56 GAA. Sadly, Price is expected to start tonight but hopefully the Canadiens change their mind.

This game doesn’t look good for the Red Wings on paper. Montreal is undefeated at home and Carey Price is having a heck of a start to the season.
